These Easter basket shots turned out pretty cute. Too bad David cried when I tried to sit him inside the basket!
Aunt Ju Ju made Lauren's Easter bracelet!

The Easter basket left on the front porch was filled up overnight by the Easter Bunny!
Lauren decorated this egg all by herself!
On the Saturday before Easter, March 22nd, 2008, Julie invited Cannon, Amber, (her other neice and nephew) and us to their church's egg hunt. It was held at a church member's walking horse farm and was absolutely the most perfect setting that I could imagine! We had a great time looking at the animals and hunting for eggs. There was even a cookout lunch to enjoy with hamburgers, hotdogs, and more! Poor Amber had a bad allergic reaction, and Steve, Julie, and David took her home early. We stayed at the egg hunt and kept Cannon with us. He and Lauren play so well together! Lauren has adopted Cannon and Amber has her "cousins" despite the fact that they technically aren't related to us, but they are related to Julie through marriage. It was so cute to see them play, laugh, and interact. Cannon is finishing up his 1st grade year.
Later that afternoon, I set up my photography backdrop and took some Easter portraits of Lauren and David. They turned out well. However, I was disappointed with myself that I had failed to check the camera flash's batteries bofore the shoot. Despite the shadows, they still look pretty good.
The next morning was Easter (3-23-08). My church celebrated it's annual sunrise service at 7:00am that morning. It was a nice service, and we enjoyed lunch with Memmie and Pappy at their house that day.
The ol' Easter Bunny made 2 stops this year. Lauren definitely was a lucky girl. The night before Easter, we left our empty basket (as usual) on the front porch in hopes that he would fill it up with toys, candy, and more. Well, he didn't forget to stop. Lauren got "moon sand" as her big gift this year. What fun! That bunny must have thought that Lauren was extra good this year because he even left another basket for her at Memmie and Pappy's house, too! Happy Easter to you, Ladybug!
