Disney World, October 2007

Just a few pictures from our lunch in Cinderella's Castle and other fun times in WDW:
Belle, from "Beauty and the Beast"

Snow White

Lauren talked her ears off! It was hilarious! Lauren told ol' Snow that she was scared of her movie cover b/c of the witch. She then explained to Snow White that she had to hide under her trusty Silky B (blanket) while Daddy hid the movie in our closet. Lauren also asked her where the Dwarfs were. Snow White was very charming and patient with Lauren while she chattered on and on. I was impressed with Snow White's voice, she sounded JUST LIKE Snow White's voice from the actual movie!

The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella!

It was so great that Lauren met almost every character from the movie on the day that she wore her Cinderella dress!

The Step-Mother and Step Sisters from Cinderalla!

These gals were my favorite because they really acted the part and bickered with each other. They LOVED that Lauren was dressed like Cinderella. In this pic, they are telling Lauren that they need a new "maid" and are asking Lauren if she "did windows?" Lauren was speechless for the first time in her life and had no response except for a head shake, "no!"

Before leaving, Lauren hugged Anistasia (the sister in the pink) and told her that she was her favorite. Lauren likes her character in the movies Cinderella 2 and 3 because she has a change of heart and is "good." Anistasia loved that Lauren did that, and she thanked her and said, "I never get any love from these 2!"

My little Minnie Mouse in her dress bought from a wonderful semstress on Ebay! I had a gorgeous hairbow to match (not in this picture.) Lauren wore this one day to the Magic Kingdom and you couldn't believe all of the smiles and compliments. Every employee that saw Lauren called her, "Little Minnie."

The Cinderalla twins- no little girl in the entire kingdom was any cuter then my little princess Lauren! This is the dress that she wore on the day of our lunch in Cinderella's Castle. What a dream come true...for Lauren and me!

Making a wish at the restaurant.

Lauren's wish: to have a "belly-showing" outfit like Jasmine wears!

The beautiful interior of Cinderella's Royal table.

Lauren with her favorite princess, Sleeping Beauty.

Jasmine.

Lauren LOVED her outfit!

Lauren with the 1st Dream Maker. Lauren was chosen by this employee to be the Princess of the Day!

Lucky Lauren's 2nd Dream: a ride on Cinderella's carousal upon Cinderella's special horse, with NO wait in line!

Philip and I were lucky enough to meet up with Cinderella on Main Street, and she graciously agreed to have her picture taken with us!

Our lunch in the actual Cinderella Castle, overlooking the Magic Kingdom park!

Our family loves the movie, Monster's Inc.

Philip and Marc in the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" play ground at MGM.

Teresa, Drew, Lauren, and I rode in the front of the monorail with the driver one day. What a beautiful view!

Lauren and Drew on Main Street, USA at the Magic Kingdom.

The Grace and Farmer families. We are blessed by God to have such great friends!

In October, we traveled to Orlando to stay for 6 days and 7 nights at Walt Disney World! We traveled with another family that we are friends with, the Farmers. We stayed in the 1950's building in the Pop Century Resort. Lauren loved playing with little Drew (age 2) and wanted to push him in his stroller.

Lauren was the perfect age and height to go! Being a tall girl, Lauren was tall enough to ride nearly every ride there, except for any rides that might go upside down of course. What a little "thrill seeker" she is!!! Lauren loved the roller coasters and water rides, and her favorites were space mountain, splash mountain, and the tower of terror (at MGM!)

One of my favorite things was shopping for outfits for Lauren to wear on our trip. She wore a different Disney themed or princess outfit each day! My favorites were the Minnie Mouse dress and the Cinderella dress!

Probably one of our family's favorite memories was the lunch in Cinderella's Castle. Lauren wore her Cinderella dress and had her picture made with Cinderella, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, and Snow White. The food was wonderful, and the resturant itself is considered one of their best on the property. Lauren LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the Disney Princesses and other Disney movies. It was so magical to see her recognize her favorite characters from various movies and to see the excitement in her eyes! Of course, I just HAD to take the rare and lucky opportunity to do a photo shoot of Lauren at Cinderella's Castle while wearing her costume! I absolutely love photography and got some awesome shots!

Before lunch, however, Lauren wore her Cinderella Dress and was stopped by an employee that morning as we got off the bus to be the "Princess for the Day!" This was her first time to receive a dream as part of the "Year of A Million Dreams" celebration. She received free goodies and a fast pass to any ride of our choice! Also, her picture was to be displayed for the entire month on the Magic Kingdom employee's bulletin board as they clock in for work. Can you believe that she received a 2nd dream later that day? An employee stopped Lauren and I by the Carrousal and asked Lauren, "Has Cinderella gotten to ride her carousal yet?" We hadn't, and the lady let us cut line and get on first! Lauren got to ride on Cinderella's horse (it had a golden thread tied around it's tail) and Philip rode on Prince Charming's horse! What a great memory to be chosen for 2 dreams in one day! Most of the guests there never received even one dream!

We had such a wonderful time (except for my back injury in which I had to rent or borrow a wheel chair towards the end of the trip! Despite this unfortunate incident, I still had a blast!) It is always so much fun for us to go to WDW. This was my 5th trip, Philip's 3rd, and Lauren's 2nd trip. We will probably not be back until we have another member
of the Grace family, however, we'll all have many happy memories to last us a lifetime!
