Spring Time Fun!

I took some pics of Lauren's Uncle Wayne (my younger brother)
with his police car after the Clover Hill Shower.
It is so cute to hear her tell him that he is handsome!

What a doll!

Acting goofy at one of Becky's bridal showers!

Clover Hill Bridal Shower for Wayne & Becky.

Lauren LOVES her Unkey Wayne!

We finally got to watch Lauren perform her 2 dance routines
at the parent observation class in April. We only get to observe 1
time each semester! Lauren is on the 1st row-the 2nd girl from the left. Daddy
and I were both SO PROUD of how our little princess behaved and listened in class.
She is such a sweet young lady and works hard to follow rules, while still making friends and having a good time!

The little girls (and parents) received their recital
costumes for the first time at the parent observation class. Lauren couldn't have been any more excited about the pink ballet outfit with it's fluffy tutu! Pink is her absolute FAVORITE color! She is such a true girly girl!

Here is Mommy getting Lauren ready for the ballet and tap portraits at Ladybug's dance school. She did so well, she's a natural in front of the camera! I was proud of Lauren for her patience, and I was proud of myself as well for the great job with makeup and the bun!

Wayne & Becky at the Clover Hill shower. Wayne worked that zone and was able to stop by for a little while.

Lauren's great Aunt Mary Nelle made her flower girl halo for the wedding. Here is a pic of Lauren happy to be wearing it (good think Becky loves pink, too!) Naturally, Lauren has a baby doll with her everywhere we go.

It's official, Julie and Steve are the parents of one great little boy! This is a pic taken at the lake house before heading to the Knoxville court house.

Lauren is so very proud to be the SISSY COUSIN to David!

We are so very proud to have a nephew to spoil! Hum...so this is what we'll look like as a family of four. Pretty cute, huh? ha ha!

Amber and Cannon are so proud of their new sister, Addy Sue.

Our campout in March.

A visit with Melinda and her new baby, Emma leigh. Melinda is taking this picture! She was my teaching assistant in my Kindergarten class. I can't tell you how much I miss her!

"See, Mommy, we both have a baby now!"

David shares a quick kiss with his new cousin, Addy Sue.

We have had so much going on since March that I really haven't taken the time to sit and update the blog like I should! Between me going back to work after Spring Break, Lauren returning to day care, and my brother and Becky's pre-wedding showers and activities, we were busy every weekend!

In March, we had a warm weekend near the end of the month. Philip decided that we needed to have a campfire and roast hotdogs for dinner. He and Lauren even decided to camp outside in the princess tent in our own backyard! I opted out of that one since it would have been miserable on my back. They didn't make it the entire night either. The tent was small and they were cramped inside the thing. It was still a fun experience for Lauren, anyway. The next time, we will try it with our large, family sized tent and Grandpa Gordon's cot (for me to sleep on!)

April had a lot of things going on as well, and it seemed to be "baby month" according to Lauren. On April 1st, Lauren and I visited with my teaching assistant and her new baby, Emma leigh. This was Lauren's first time to meet the baby, but I had visited with them in the hospital, however. She is so sweet with the most beautiful lashes. On the first weekend of April, we went to Sevierville to meet Cannon and Amber's new sister, Addy Sue. It was funny seeing little David trying to kiss her! On Monday, April 14th, we took a day off from work to attend David's adoption at the Knoxville Court house. Afterwards, we ate lunch at Mimi's cafe in Turkey Creek. It was such a blessed day to know that David is Lauren's official first cousin now! Julie, Steve, David, Philip, Lauren, and I all spent the night at the lake house the night before and had a great time together....as usual! I love our family! The rest of April kept Lauren and myself busy with Becky's bridal showers, playing on the slip in slide, and preparations for the Artistic Dance Unlimited (ADU) May dance recital. Lauren had individual and team pictures in April, and I took some of my own that turned out so great, I have decided that I don't need to take Lauren to the Target portrait studio for any more! I still need to send them off to Shutterfly to have them printed out.
