On June 7th, 2008, Uncle Wayne and Aunt Becky got married. All three of us were in the wedding. Of course, our little ladybug was the world's cutest flowergirl. I am very proud to report that I found her gorgeous flowergirl dress on ebay, and I only paid around $18.oo plus some change (and that included the shipping and handling fees.... yahoo for me!) Regularly priced, the dress is around $120. In the Strausburg clothing catalogs that I am always drooling over, there are often pictures of little girls in wedding dresses with flowers in their hair. I gave one magazine photo in particular to my great Aunt Mary Nelle. She made a gorgeous silk floral headband for Ladybug to wear with little pink and white roses.
Everything went well, and Ladybug did an excellent job sprinkling the rose petals down the aisle. At first, she appeared to hesitate before walking down the isale. However, she was actually talking to the wedding coordinator to reconfirm what she was expected to do. Lauren always worries about doing the right thing!

She looked like a minature bride standing next to Becky. All of the female bridal party, including Ladybug, were lucky enough to receive free hair styles at La Nese salon that morning. This was all thanks to the fact that Becky and Wayne were the newspaper's June bridal couple! What a treat! Let me be the 1st to say how good we looked!
Poor Philip was so sick on the day of the wedding, but he managed to be quite a trooper during the ceremony (only left the sanctuary once). He went home just as soon as the wedding party and family pictures were done. My parents appeared to be holding it together pretty well. I know for a fact that my mother was a "wreck" inside since it was her baby getting married. My Dad felt the same way when I was getting married!
Wayne and Becky were so beautiful together. I was so very proud of myself for keeping Wayne's surprise honeymoon destiation a secret from Becky, family, and friends. They had a wonderful time in Jamaica and it seemed to fly by far too quickly.
Becky, I am so happy to have you in our family. You are a wonderful sister-in-law, and we are looking forward to making many happy memories with you!
